Professional Practice, Policy & Legislative Services

In keeping with the College’s regulatory mandate, the focus of Professional Practice, Policy and Legislative Services is to provide members with programs and services designed to help them practise in a safe, competent and ethical manner consistent with the Nova Scotia Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses PDF and the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics. We focus on

·        Education

·        Consultation

·        Practice Support Programs

·        Policy Development

We also track and trend data in order to identify issues that impact nursing practice – this assists us in policy development and education planning.
