On a day-to-day basis, registered nurses are expected to meet their standards for nursing practice. They are held accountable and responsible for making decisions that are consistent with safe, compassionate, competent and ethical care, but at the same time face diverse and complex issues which can have an impact on their nursing practice. The College provides advice and education to help nurses resolve issues and meet their standards for nursing practice. Nurses consult with the College's professional practice services an average of 800 times each year. |
