Renew/Apply for NP Licence

To work in Nova Scotia as a nurse practitioner, you must have a valid licence, issued by the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia.

What would you like to do?

  • Renew your Licence
    You currently hold a nurse practitioner licence with the College and wish to renew before November 1
  • Reactivate your Licence
    Your nurse practitioner licence has expired.
  • Apply for an Initial Licence
    You are a new graduate of a Nova Scotia nurse practitioner program or you are coming to Nova Scotia from another province or country.
  • Apply for a Temporary Licence
    You are eligible to, but have not yet written the applicable nurse practitioner examination, or are waiting for the exam results.
