Registered Nurses

In Nova Scotia, the Registered Nurses Act (2006) requires that one must have their name entered on the College’s Register and hold a valid licence to practise nursing in order to work as a registered nurse. All licences are issued by the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia.

Registered nurses holding a licence to practise nursing in Nova Scotia receive liability protection through the Canadian Nurses Protective Society (CNPS).
